I am looking to communicate with some of the Admins from this group. I am part of the team here at the New Nissan of Duncan and home of the EV Leaf. We are looking into ways to further promote the leaf - and in turn get more people driving them or even providing them with the opportunity to just try one out. Who can help?

Ontario ups EV rebates for affordable cars.  It would be nice if this spilled over into B.C.

Hi EV Folks,

Just a reminder that we will have an EV social meeting at Mobys' next Thursday (Jan 28) at 4 pm.  Green Drinks follows immediately after.   Please invite anyone who is interested in an EV and wants to learn more.

Interesting stats on EV uptake from Peter Lamb

Interesting statistics on global EV sales, which have doubled in the last year. Nissan LEAF tops the chart for sales volume. Peter

Hi EV Folks,

Since Green Drinks is cancelled for Thursday, it makes sense to cancel the EV meeting thet normally proceeds Green Drinks.  Unhappy face !!!

Hi EV Lovers,

You may have seen in the Driftwood that EV rides are being offered to interested parties this weekend at Mobys.  The time is 2 - 4 on Saturday and Sunday.

I am the only one offering this option and could sure use at least one more volunteer.  The big issue is who will be there while I am off on a test ride.

TSS is offering these test rides due to our observation that it was a deciding factor in so many purchases.  EVs are simply wonderful to drive.

If you can help, it would be handy if you could contact me in advance for planning purposes at 250-537-5646 or jstanden@ucalgary.ca (or see you there).

      Jim,

The EV Show is here in 2 days.  Please consider coming out and joining the fun at Mobys Friday evening, the Fritz Saturday morning, or the 4 locations for events Saturday afternoon.  Details are on posters around town and in this weeks Driftwood.  I have one more volunteer position for car safety for 2 hours Saturday afternoon if you are interested.

Exhausted EV coordinator, Jim
