Transition Salt Spring

Sea Food Co-op

A group of people who are interested in securing the privileged, via commercial fishing licenses / quotas, for a variety of different species of your favorite sea foods.  Possibly  acquiring a shell fish farm. High quality, freshness  and access to a reasonably priced product would be controlled by the group.  Excess could be sold to eventually recoup the original investment.  Fishermen would be paid a reasonable price per lb. to fish. and members would pay a fraction of store prices, eliminating the corporate middleman, who will eventually have total control.  Anyone interested?

This Mon. or Tue. Nov. 17th or 18th,2014 there will be a commercial salmon gillnetter tied up on the outter dock, in Fulford harbour.. The fleet is currently fishing chum, { dog } salmon in Cowichan Bay. They average 10 lbs, plus or minus and are $10.00 each. Some may be dark, but are great for smoking. Call me if you are interested, Peter 250 653 9097.
